Corporate Portal Framework

The Evolution Corporate Portal integrates content, applications and services and is the primary user experience for your entire enterprise and beyond. The portal provides a powerful arena for interacting with documents, applications, services and each other.

Web Client Desktop

Web Client uses the latest Internet technologies to provide complete internet-ready capabilities for the Evolution product. Using Web Client you can access the entire landscape of the Evolution suite from any device with a web browser (providing you have the authority to do so). Web Client increases the availability and flexibility of the Evolution system to users who may be on the road or on the other side of the world and may not otherwise have direct access to the system at the office.

Web Client Desktop Builder

The Web Client Desktop Builder provides sophisticated functionality to tailor the Web Client interface to the user’s specific needs. For example:-

• All fields can be modified, moved, re-sized, and re-labelled - using drag and drop techniques.
• Additional Evolution fields can be added to any form.
• Web Client supports Windows controls such as combo boxes, browse buttons, and check boxes and these can be added to the standard forms to create transaction flows that represent those used by the end user.
• Buttons can be added to the standard forms to create transaction flows that represent those used by the end user.

Web Client Triggers

Web Client Triggers bring automation capabilities to the Evolution Release 10i product facilitating the removal of non-value adding activities and removing waste from processes, leading to increased efficiency and lowering costs. Triggers provide a means of undertaking defined tasks when a defined event occurs and can operate at field, screen or database levels.

Report Wizard

Report Wizard is the internet-ready reporting tool for the Evolution product. It allows users to generate their own queries from the browser on their desktop. Its flexibility is based around a series of templates presenting the user with simple point and click choices of what to display, how to group, sort and total, and data selection by range, wild cards or multiple selections from drop down lists. Results are displayed as HTML pages on the browser or may be e-mailed as CSV files to be used in Excel or Word or other Windows based products.

Report Wizard requires no additional software to be installed onto the user’s PC other than a web browser - no programs or applets to download and install!
